The largest container ship in the world.

The world's largest container ship, CMA CGM Marco Polo runs along the Pacific route to Europe.  The vessel is carrying 4000 containers of goods, which intended for shops for Christmas time. Vessel is loaded not fully. But if CMA CGM Marco Polo absolutely full it can carry 16000 containers, but then it wouldn't be able to pass the waters of the river Elbe between the North Sea and the second largest port in Europe in Hamburg, which is too shallow for the latest generation of super container ships.
This container ship is 396 meters long and 54 meters wide, Marco Polo is bigger than the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and longer than four football fields. It is the largest container ship in the world.
New container ships CMA CGM Marco Polo is not only impressive in size, but also working on a complex environment-friendly technology. Its engine consumes an average of 3% less fuel and 25% less oil. Its fuel tanks protected double hull to prevent oil leakage in the event of a disaster. Housing optimized to reduce energy consumption. It uses a new water purification system without chemicals that protect marine ecosystems.
But CMA CGM Marco Polo will not be the biggest container ship in the world for too long, cuz now under construction is a new container ship-Maersk Triple it will be launched next summer and it will carry 18000 containers at once.
